Last month, veteran cornerback Lito Sheppard claimed that he hasn’t lost anything.
Well, now he has.
Sheppard has lost his spot in the starting lineup in Minnesota, which everyone assumed he’d hold while Cedric Griffin continues his recovery from a torn ACL. The team’s first unofficial depth chart has Sheppard behind Asher Allen, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Elsewhere on the depth chart, Tyrell Johnson has the early lead over Jamarca Sanford at strong safety. And kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd, one of the few veteran free agents signed by the Vikings, has fallen behind Ryan Longwell in the battle for the kickoff duties.
