The Jaguars got a first look at their rookies this weekend, and perhaps decided they needed someone to mentor them.

According to John Oehser of the team’s official website, the Jags are bringing in veteran cornerback Marcus Trufant for a visit today.

The former first-round pick slid into a reserve role with the Seahawks in recent years, but would provide some experience for a secondary that needs it, and a familiarity with new coach Gus Bradley’s style.

The Jaguars drafted three cornerbacks, including third-rounder Dwayne Gratz and a pair of sevenths in Jeremy Harris and Demetrius McCray. Putting Trufant back there with all those kids could provide a more stable learning environment.
