The Jaguars put plenty of time and money into fixing their defense this offseason, and signed another part of that effort Monday.
The team announced that defensive tackle Sheldon Day, their fourth-rounder from Notre Dame had signed his rookie deal.
They now have five of their seven picks under contract, with just first-round cornerback Jalen Ramsey and third-round defensive end Yannick Ngakoue remaining.
Day figures to add depth to a front seven which was bolstered by the signing of Malik Jackson in free agency, and the projected return of Dante Fowler Jr. from last year’s torn ACL.
