Last March, the Jaguars gave wide receiver Laurent Robinson a five-year, $32.5 million contract.

On Wednesday, they let him go.

Ryan O’ Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars have waived Robinson. Per O’Halloran, Robinson, who suffered four concussions in 2012, passed a physical with Jacksonville.

Limited to just seven games a season ago, Robinson caught 24 passes for 252 yards and no touchdowns.

For Robinson, the primary concern his health. (Via, Robinson told NFL Network’s Andrea Kremer of the effects of the concussions that he suffered a season ago.) If healthy, it’s possible he could appeal as a slot receiver option for Dallas, with whom he had his greatest pro success in 2011.

UPDATE 12:04 P.M. ET: Mark Long of The Associated Press reports that Robinson said he didn’t feel well when working out on Tuesday and told the team as much. Long also noted that Robinson says he wishes to keep playing.
