Packers running back James Starks has seen his playing time take a steep drop in recent weeks and he might be out of the lineup altogether when the Packers face the Bears this Sunday.

Starks did not practice on Wednesday because he’s been diagnosed with a concussion, although it didn’t happen on one of the seven snaps he played against the Seahawks last weekend.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said on Thursday that Starks is in the concussion protocol after he was in a car accident on Monday. McCarthy said that Starks avoided other injuries in the accident, but he’ll remain out of the picture for the Packers until he’s cleared.

Christine Michael and Ty Montgomery handled the bulk of the running against Seattle and will likely be in the same roles in Chicago.
