Josh Gordon seems to suggest report of positive test is no big deal

Multiple media outlets have reported that Josh Gordon failed another drug test. While it doesn't mean that we definitely won't see him in 2016, it can't help. So what's next?

Browns receiver Josh Gordon hasn’t specifically addressed the report that he recently failed an NFL-imposed drug test. However, a couple of tweets from his account suggest that he regards the report as either inaccurate or not a big deal.

The first tweet declares “Smh,” Twitter talk for “shaking my head.” It includes a couple of sleeping emojis.

The next message says, “Call me if u need a real story worth writing.” (I don’t have his number, or I would.)

The only thing that seems relatively clear in the aftermath of today’s report is that someone has opted to leak that Gordon failed a drug test in violation of the clear confidentiality principles of the substance-abuse policy -- possibly in order to justify the protracted delay in resolving the question of whether he’ll be reinstated.

So will the league office investigate how Gordon’s confidentiality rights were breached? The league office definitely should, regardless of what happens with Gordon’s reinstatement.
