Nose tackle Kelly Gregg will not be returning to the Ravens at a reduced price, as many in Baltimore hoped.

PFT’s Mike Florio has confirmed that Gregg has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Chiefs, pending his physical. NFP first reported the news.

The 12-year veteran will add experience and bulk to a defensive line that lost defensive tackles Ron Edwards and Shaun Smith to free agency this week. Kansas City has mostly focused on keeping their own players, and making a handful of low-cost veteran moves thus far in free agency.

(Steve Breaston would be the exception here and we love that pickup.)

The Ravens reportedly stayed in touch with Gregg about a possible return. They have done the same with Todd Heap, but Heap has been talking to the Cardinals according to radio reports in Arizona.
