Before Friday, Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was facing charges of drunk driving and careless driving arising from a February 1 incident in which he was driving 70 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone.

On Friday, Moreno pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of “driving while ability impaired,” according to the Associated Press. He received a 30-day suspended jail sentence and a one-year term of probation.

So now the 2009 first-round pick can focus on his career. Which is good. Because it’s not really going well.

Moreno was a healthy scratch last Sunday against the Falcons. For the season, he has eight carries for 15 yards, one catch for 12 yards, a touchdown, and a lost fumble.
