The Lions continue to reel in free agents, filling some needs with veterans.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are signing guard Geoff Schwartz, after he visited yesterday.
The former Giants guard had a bit of a market, visiting the Steelers recently as well.
When well, he’s an effective starter inside, with the ability to play right tackle in a pinch. But injuries were a problem in recent years, and the Giants released him in February two years into a big free agent contract.
The Lions have focused on improving their line depth, having also signed veteran tackle Lamar Holmes.
