Lions waive safety Bullocks

Daniel Bullocks started 15 games for the Lions during their 0-16 season, but he may be through with the organization.

Bullocks has been waived/injured by the team because of a right knee issue. He tore his ACL in the same knee in 2007, and was forced to miss the season.

The 40th overall pick of the 2006 draft, Bullocks started 22 of 31 career games with the Lions. He will revert to injured reserve if no one claims him on waivers. Considering his pedigree, a claim could be possible.

To fill Bullocks’ roster spot, the Lions claimed Robert Francois, the man cut to make room for Brett Favre in Minnesota. No word if Francois rode shotgun in Jim Schwartz’s car on the way into the Lions facility.
