Buccaneers guard Logan Mankins was added to the Pro Bowl as a replacement this week, which marks the seventh time he’s been part of the roster for the postseason exhibition.

It could also be the last game he plays in the NFL. Mankins said near the end of the regular season that he was going to take some time to evaluate whether he was going to return for a 12th season. In Hawaii on Wednesday, he said that process was still going on.

“Not yet, I’m trying to just take my time and make the right decision. Things like that, usually, you don’t want to rush into,” Mankins said, via “Right. I want to give them the earliest notice that I can to not put them in a tough situation. So, eventually, they’ll be the first ones to know, other than my wife and kids.”

Mankins would be walking away from $7 million if he does decide to retire and the Bucs would probably have to put some of that money toward finding a replacement at guard on a young offensive line.
