Maclin caps strong rookie season with record night

Though the 2009 campaign ended with disappointment for the Eagles, who lost consecutive games at Dallas to conclude the season, there was a thin silver lining in the dark cloud that parked over Philadelphia.

Rookie receiver Jeremy Maclin not only became the youngest player ever to catch a touchdown pass in the postseason, but he also set a franchise record with 146 yards.

Maclin broke the mark of 142 yards, which was set 21 years ago by tight end Keith Jackson during the Fog Bowl in Chicago.

And we know what you’re thinking -- what about Terrell Owens in Super Bowl XXXIX? He generated only 122 yards on nine catches.
