Former Ohio State and Denver Broncos running back Maurice Clarett is awaiting a judges decision that would transfer him to a community-based correction facility after spending over three years in prison.
The new facility is not a “lock-down institution” and Clarett will be evaluated for release within six months, according to the Associated Press. He was arrested for aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon in 2006.
Seeing Clarett and Charles Rogers’ names in the news this week should prove to be a reminder of what not to do for NFL draft hopefuls this month.
