Maxwell’s agent disputes Maxwell’s claim that he’s Philly bound

Maxwell

Cornerback Byron Maxwell says he’s going to Philly. Maxwell’s agent says, “Not so fast.”

Even though Maxwell, a soon-to-be-former Seahawk, has gone on the record to say that he’ll be an Eagle, agent Alvin Keels pumped the brakes on Twitter.

“A lot of chatter about Byron Maxwell to Philly,” Keels wrote. “Is Philly interested? Yes. Is Byron Maxwell interested in Philly? Yes. Is it official? No!

But what about Maxwell saying he’s going to Philly? Maybe he means he’s going only for a visit. However, the rules (which are being ignored, apparently) prevent teams from even lining up a visit.

“As the agent I will arrange for a visit(s) when the rules permit us to do so,” Keels said. “Philly will be at the top of our list once that time comes.”

And that’s how toothpaste gets put back into a tube. Even if the tube is still coated in paste.
