Though the NFL already has meted out justice for an incident involving Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie and a bouncer at a club and a steel pole, the criminal justice system still has work to do before McKinnie’s case will be resolved. McKinnie will stand trial in March 2009, but his lawyer still hopes to get McKinnie placed into a pre-trial diversion program. McKinnie faces a variety of charges, including felony battery. The NFL suspended him four games at the outset of the 2008 season for the alleged misconduct.
