New poll names Vick most disliked NFL player

Vick

Eagles coach Chip Kelly liked Mike Vick enough to make him the team’s starting quarterback for 2013. But Kelly may be in the minority.

Via Forbes.com, a new poll of 1,100 ages 13 and up shows that Vick is the most disliked NFL player. Fifty-three percent of the people who responded to the poll expressed dislike for Vick.

Coming in second at 48 percent was Chargers likebacker Manti Te’o. Next, at 43 percent, was Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

The top (bottom?) three were followed by Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (40 percent), Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez (40 percent), Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (33 percent), Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (32 percent), Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (25 percent), Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (24 percent), and Lions running back Reggie Bush (22 percent).

Perhaps the more accurate name for the poll would be “most polarizing NFL players,” since plenty of people surely like each of the names listed. It’d be interesting to see how these 10 players would rank on a poll of the league’s most liked players.

Our guess is that the net result of dislikes and likes would have Roethlisberger and Cutler at the top.
