Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. recently complained about the pitfalls of popularity. However, he apparently wishes he were more popular among his peers.
Ranked 10th in the annual slow-time-filling top 100 list from the NFL, Beckham tweeted, “10? Hmmm. #BuckleUp.”
Via the New York Daily News, that’s a 22-spot improvement for Beckham between 2014 and 2015. However, he finished third among all receivers, behind Antonio Brown and Julio Jones.
And so once again a list with no meaning or value potentially provides very real motivation for someone who didn’t end up as high on the list as he believes he should have.
At least Beckham ended up a spot higher than his nemesis, Washington cornerback Josh Norman.
