St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis may need a sizable ice pack after repeated encounters with Green Bay Packers rookie linebacker Jayrone Elliott.

The undrafted rookie out of the University of Toledo sacked Davis three times in four plays in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game. Elliott even forced a fumble on one of the sacks that was recovered by Davis before the Packers could fall on it.

Elliott was mostly taking advantage of Rams tackle Sean Hooey, who had a performance he would like to soon forget.

Elliott didn’t record any stats in his preseason debut against the Tennessee Titans last week but put together a statement performance against the Rams. He was a first-team All-Mid-American Conference player as a senior at Toledo leading the Rockets nine sacks and 14 tackles for loss.
