The Bucs are 30 minutes away from a 2-0 start.
Tampa Bay leads 14-7 at halftime in Carolina, as the Panthers offense continues to struggle. Matt Moore found Steve Smith for a 35-yard touchdown, but was only four-of-ten overall. DeAngelo Williams was held to 37 yards on 10 carries.
The Bucs, meanwhile, continue to get efficient play out of Josh Freeman. He was 8-of-12 in the first half for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie wideout Mike Williams has a 35-yard score.
You don’t want to overrate Week Two, but this is a big half for the Panthers. They do not want to start 0-2 with a home loss against the one division rival they will be favored to beat.
