One of the reasons the Vikings traded Percy Harvin to Seattle was that they grew tired of him complaining about quarterback Christian Ponder. At least, that’s what several reports on the situation in Minnesota have said.

But Harvin says he doesn’t know where those reports came from.

“That was false,” Harvin told Jim Rome. “Me and Christian had a great time together. I respect him a whole heck of a lot. I never had a problem with him; I’ve never stated I had a problem with him. I’ve never seen a problem he’s had with me; he’s never said he’s had a problem with me. [We were] on the same page, it’s just a lot of articles that tried to pick up on things that weren’t there.”

It would be surprising if there was absolutely nothing behind “a lot of articles” about Harvin having a problem with Ponder. And it would be surprising if the Vikings would trade away a player as talented as Harvin if there weren’t locker-room problems. But Harvin is sticking to his story that he likes Ponder.
