Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin will reportedly have a third head coaching interview this week.
The Broncos are slated to interview Austin on Friday, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reported on Wednesday evening.
Austin had a first interview with the Bears on Tuesday and a second interview with the Falcons on Wednesday. The interview with Denver would be Austin’s initial with the club.
The 49-year-old Austin has emerged as a head coaching candidate after Detroit’s defense was one of the league’s best in his first season with the club.
The Broncos, Falcons and Bears are the lone clubs without head coaches. The Broncos parted ways with John Fox on Monday.
