Report: Dennis Pitta still wants to come back and play

After dislocating his hip and needing surgery twice in hopes of a comeback, Dennis Pitta’s future is far from certain.

But he still sounds certain he wants to try.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Pitta has consulted with doctors and plans to continue his NFL career.

The Ravens would owe him $5 million under the current terms of his contract, though it’s reasonable to assume they’d want some degree of adjustment to that number, considering he hasn’t been on the field in nearly two years.

Pitta hasn’t played in a game since Sept. 21, 2014, though he has insisted he wanted to try to come back. He tried practicing a bit last year before he was placed on injured reserve in November, ending that comeback bid.
