Linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was released by the Browns on Wednesday, giving him a head start over the more conventional free agents on finding a new team for the 2014 season.

That search will reportedly include visits to Denver and Nashville. Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com reports that Jackson has visits scheduled with the Broncos and Titans this weekend. The two teams topped PFT‘s list of potential destinations for Jackson.

Both teams have employees with connections to Jackson from past experience with the Browns. Former Browns General Manager Tom Heckert works in the Denver front office while Ray Horton, last year’s defensive coordinator in Cleveland, is running the defense for the Titans.

Jackson said he’s looking for “more stability” with his next team, something that shouldn’t be hard to find given all the upheaval that Jackson experienced during his tenure with the Browns. According to LaCanfora, several other teams are also interested should Jackson remain unsigned after talking to the Broncos and Titans.
