Jets wide receiver Eric Decker was described this week as a game-time decision with a knee injury, but the decision has already been made to sit him.
Decker will miss today with a PCL sprain in his knee, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
That’s a blow to the Jets in today’s game against the Eagles. Decker has been a solid No. 2 option this season across the field from Brandon Marshall, and without Decker the Jets will need more from Jeremy Kerley, who hasn’t caught a pass yet this year.
The 2-0 Jets have had a surprisingly effective pass offense, while the 0-2 Eagles have had a surprisingly porous pass defense. We’ll see if that continues without Decker on the field.
