Report: T.Y. Hilton a “long shot” to play

The Colts will welcome the Broncos to Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon and it looks like they will be shorthanded against Denver’s top-ranked defense.

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton missed practice all week with a foot injury, but was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week. That designation represents a 50/50 shot of playing on Sunday, but his inability to get on the field all week will reportedly keep him off the field for the game as well.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Hilton will test his foot in pregame workouts, but that he’s considered a “long shot” to be in the lineup against Denver. With a bye in Week 10, Hilton would have an extended period to rest before the Colts travel to Atlanta on November 22.

Donte Moncrief and Andre Johnson will be the top wideouts if Hilton’s out of the lineup, which would make an already difficult matchup that much tougher for the 3-5 Colts.
