Report: Young Eagles looking to Kolb, not McNabb, for advice

As all eyes in Philly are fixed on whether the Eagles will be trading quarterback Donovan McNabb, there’s a new piece of evidence indicating that the future might be now for the team’s quarterback of the future. (Product placement!)

Howard Eskin of WIP radio and NBC Philadelphia recently has reported that, during the 2009 season, young offensive players were going to Kevin Kolb for advice on the sidelines before approaching McNabb.

Of course, this says nothing about the organization’s opinions of McNabb and/or Kolb, but it’s definitely a factor in the question of whether the powers-that-be believe Kolb is ready to be the kind of leader that a franchise quarterback needs to be.

So stay tuned.
