Since Jim Schwartz moved from Titans defensive coordinator to Lions head coach, several players have followed him to Detroit.

Now one is moving the other direction. Defensive tackle Sammie Hill has agreed to a three-year deal with the Titans. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the deal is worth $11.4 million, with $4 million in guaranteed money.

Hill’s move to Tennessee was forecast on Tuesday night as reports indicated he was likely to wind up with the Titans after he made his way to Nashville for a visit with the team. Hill’s a big guy who’s shown some promise as a pass rusher as a rotational player with the Lions, but the Titans will likely be asking him to do more if, as expected, Sen’Derrick Marks moves on to another team.

Hill is the third free agent that the Titans have signed since free agency opened. He joins guard Andy Levitre and tight end Delanie Walker as new faces on a Titans team trying to find its way back to the playoffs.
