A day after he was waived by the Chargers, safety Kevin Ellison has been claimed by the Seahawks.
Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Ellison was claimed by Seattle, where he’ll be reunited with his coach at USC, Pete Carroll.
Ellison was busted with 100 Vicodin pills in his vehicle in May. If he’s able to put his legal problems behind him and get on the field, the Seahawks will have a safety who’s talented enough that he started nine regular-season games and a playoff game for the Chargers last season.
