Seahawks defensive end Patrick Kerney will miss Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, and in a sign that the injury could keep him out for an extended period of time, he’s traveling to Alabama this weekend to visit Dr. James Andrews. “We’ll have some answers, probably more than we have now, next Tuesday or Wednesday,” Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said. “I’m going to wait and see. This has been a little bit of a roller-coaster year with the injury thing anyway, so instead of getting too down, too up, about what might happen, let’s wait and see what the doctor says.” Kerney suffered the injury late in Sunday’s win over the 49ers. The extent of the injury is not known, but it is to the left shoulder. Andrews surgically repaired the labrum in Kerney’s left shoulder during the off-season. Sunday’s game will be the first one Kerney has missed since signing with the Seahawks before the 2007 season. Kerney leads the team with five sacks this season.
