Linebacker Mike Morgan has spent most of his football career playing for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and their relationship will extend into 2016.
Morgan visited with the Steelers last week, but his time as a free agent ended this weekend when he agreed to a deal that will keep him in Seattle. Morgan has been with the Seahawks since 2011 and also played for Carroll at USC before Carroll left to take the Seattle job before the 2010 season.
Morgan made a couple of starts for the Seahawks last season, but saw the majority of his playing time on special teams. He finished the year with 17 tackles and the first sack of his NFL career.
Morgan could find more playing time on defense this season as the team moves on without Bruce Irvin, who signed with the Raiders as a free agent.
