Next Saturday, the Palm Pre arrives, exclusively from Sprint. And Sprint’s CEO, Dan Hesse, recently explained that the device will cater both to folks who use wireless devices for consumer and business reasons. “The iPhone is a fantastic consumer device,” Hesse told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The BlackBerry is a terrific business device. But if you want one phone that’s good at both, you’ll want a Pre. You can have multiple applications open at the same time. I can have the photo application open, check my contacts, look at the calendar and do e-mails when a phone call comes in.” So why would Dan Hesse acknowledge that the iPhone is a “fantastic consumer device”? Maybe he realizes that the Pre will be just as good, if not better. We’ll find out in a week. Until then, click here for more info about the device. And, by the way, Sprint is the official telecommunications partner of ProFootballTalk.com.
