The Jaguars were able to make things happen in a hurry Sunday thanks to Telvin Smith, and he was recognized for it Wednesday.

The second-year linebacker was named AFC defensive player of the week, after his pick six helped lead the Jaguars back to a win over the Bills in London.

The former fourth-rounder from Florida State had to pick off his old college teammate EJ Manuel to make the play.

His score was part of a two-in-seven-second outburst, but only part of an outstanding day. He also had nine tackles and broke up three passes, as the Jaguars held on to beat the Bills.
