This is the time of year when quarterback depth charts start looking like the Statue of Liberty.
So the Texans filled out their roster of tired and poor and huddled masses by adding Ricky Stanzi to the practice squad, according to the Houston Chronicle.
He’ll fill out a roster that’s down to Thad Lewis and Case Keenum, after injuries knocked out Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallett (and for at least this week) Tom Savage.
Stanzi was a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs, but was cut in preseason by the Jaguars this year.
He hasn’t thrown a pass in the league, but that no longer seems to be a requirement.
