So what are the details of the new contract signed by Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis? Glad you asked. Even if you didn’t.

Per a league source, Davis is due to earn $18 million over the next three years under the two-year extension.

The deal includes a $9 million signing bonus, part of a total compensation package of $10.25 million in 2015. He’ll make $3.5 million in 2016 and $4.25 million in 2017.

The deal also has an injury guarantee of $1.5 million in 2016. The $10.25 million to be earned in 2015 is fully guaranteed.

Not bad for a 32-year-old defender with a trio of torn ACLs. But he’s playing at a high level, and Davis has been a key member of the franchise for both his on-field and off-field efforts during the last decade.
