The Titans held their rookie minicamp over the weekend and two of the players trying out for the club impressed enough to earn spots on the 90-man roster.
The team announced Monday that tight end Tevin Westbrook and linebacker Dezmond Johnson will be sticking around the team a little bit longer. They waived running back Lache Seastrunk and linebacker Dontay Moch to open up spots for the new arrivals.
Seastrunk had his admirers heading into the 2014 draft and wound up joining former Baylor teammate Robert Griffin III with Washington as a sixth-round pick. He didn’t make the team out of the summer, however, and spent a short spell on Carolina’s practice squad before landing in Tennessee. Moch played three games for the team last season and also has stints with the Cardinals and Bengals under his belt.
Westbrook had 11 catches at Florida the last two years after opening his college career as a defensive lineman. New Titans teammate Taylor Thompson made the same switch upon arrival in the NFL. Johnson had 7.5 sacks in four years at Duke.
