Tom Brady scrambles when asked about Donald Trump’s “locker room talk”

The football landscape is harsh, but a few universally-beloved players and one polarizing player could get a farewell tour like David Ortiz.

Tom Brady was happy to support his friend and golf buddy Donald Trump when it was simply a matter of placing a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker for everyone to see.

But now that things are getting a little testy, Brady wants nothing to do with the topic.

The Patriots quarterback, as you might imagine considering his previous support for Trump, was asked about recently-released crude remarks by the candidate, which he dismissed as “locker room talk.”

Via CSNNE.com, a reporter asked Brady: “Tom, you have kids of your own. How would you respond if your kids heard Donald Trump’s version of locker room talk?”

Brady then smiled an uncomfortable smile, said, “Thank you guys, have a good day,” and walked off the podium.

Brady’s perfectly within his rights to support whichever candidate he wants, and to do so as actively or passively as he chooses. But by not even expressing a polite level of discomfort with a man bragging about kissing and groping women whether they invited his advances or not, Brady has tacitly implied that it wasn’t a big deal to him.

We’re guessing many of the people he shares a locker room with — many of whom have daughters or wives or mothers — do not agree.
