If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man, and Tom Brady didn’t.
Well, at least he wasn’t able to beat Peyton Manning in the AFC Championship Game, but he did get to meet the guy who coined the phrase “limousine riding and jet-plane flying” yesterday, among other stars.
Brady was at the University of Michigan for a national signing day event yesterday hosted by The Players Tribune, along with Derek Jeter and pro wrestling legend Ric Flair.

And at one point in the event, Brady is shown making small talk with the former Yankees shortstop, when the topic of the reason he’s there came up.
“The season just ended,” Brady told Jeter, in a video on The Players Tribune . “It ended two weeks too early.”
“We blew it. We had a good chance.”
The Patriots had a shot, but couldn’t convert a two-point conversion leading to a 20-18 loss.
