At a time when some players are using their down time during the lockout to get locked up and others are locking horns with a bull and still others are unlocking their golf clubs, Pats defensive end Ty Warren has locked down his college degree.
Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald reports that Warren will earn on Friday a degree from Texas A&M in agricultural leadership and development, with an emphasis on agribusiness.
“I feel real good about getting that done, and being able to walk up on that stage,” Warren said. “I just have one more final [on Wednesday]. But that won’t be a problem. I’m finished. I’ll get my GPA later. It means something to finally have [that degree].”
Last year, Warren bypassed a $250,000 workout bonus to attend classes. With his degree, he’ll be even better prepared for the inevitable permanent lockout that will visit every player once his football career ends.
