The Vikings entered free agency hoping to improve their interior offensive line and secondary, and have checked off both boxes already.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Vikings have signed former Titans safety Michael Griffin.

Many thought they’d go for a guy such as George Iloka or Reggie Nelson, who Mike Zimmer knew from their days with the Bengals. But Iloka stayed put, and they apparently preferred Griffin.

The 31-year-old Griffin was released by the Titans in February in a cap-saving move.

Earlier in the day, the Vikings signed 49ers guard Alex Boone.
