Vikings to wear throwbacks again next Monday night

The Vikings originally had planned to wear their throwback uniforms only once this year, in Week 1. They have changed their plans.

Earlier this week, the Vikings announced that they will be wearing them again. Next Monday night. Week 12. Against the Bears.

The uniforms have white block numbers with gold trim, along with a patch containing the signature of Bud Grant’s first name. The Vikings also change the helmet logo to the pre-2006 version, without the shading on the horn.

They should, frankly, use a second helmet with a shiny purple finish. And, like many teams that periodically use throwback uniforms, they should make them their permanent look.
