Although the Broncos and Von Miller appear to be far apart in contract negotiations, Miller sounds confident that things will work out.

In an interview with Chelsea Handler, Miller said he can’t see himself sitting out the 2016 season, nor can he see himself ending up on another team.

Asked if he might sit out this year, Miller answered, “No.”

Miller continued by noting that the deadline to come to terms on a long-term contract isn’t until July 15, which means there’s still time to get a deal done. And Miller can’t see himself leaving Denver.

“We still have a month. I just can’t see myself with another team,” Miller said.

So if Miller isn’t going to sit out this year and isn’t going to another team, that indicates that he’s still optimistic about coming to an agreement with the Broncos. It’s still possible that Miller could sit out until Week 10 and then play just the last six games of the season, but he sounds like a man who’s committed to playing for the Broncos.
