Bills LT Jason Peters was the only player on the team chosen for the Pro Bowl. Texans DE Mario Williams is a Pro Bowler; the guys fans wanted the Texans to draft instead of Williams, Reggie Bush and Vince Young, are not. Said Colts DE Dwight Freeney of his Pro Bowl berth, “It’s great, man. I don’t care how many times you’ve been; whenever you can get voted in by your peers, the fans and the coaches, it’s a great honor.” The Jaguars were shut out of the Pro Bowl and didn’t even have a first or second alternate. Said Titans DT Albert Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck, “I am just excited for Albert that he made the Pro Bowl and he is certainly deserving of it. ... I think the contract stuff will take care of itself at the end of season.’' The Falcons put CB David Irons and WR Laurent Robinson on injured reserve. The Panthers worked out a pair of linemen Tuesday. Said Saints QB Drew Brees of being the team’s only Pro Bowler, “I look at the guys on our team and feel bad for them, because certainly there are guys who are deserving. It makes you feel like if we were just 9-5 or 10-4, more guys would be recognized.” Bucs LB Derrick Brooks says he’s thankful to be returning to the Pro Bowl. In the last two weeks the Broncos have signed, released and re-signed S Herana-Daze Jones. Says Chiefs coach Herm Edwards of the departure of GM Carl Peterson, “We knew this day was coming.
