Jaguars signed CB Xavier Crawford, formerly of the Bears, to a one-year contract.
Crawford started two games last season and played 63% of the special teams snaps for the Bears. He’ll be reunited with Bears passing defense coordinator DeShea Townsend in Jacksonville. Crawford will be functional depth for the Jags.

Texans selected Central Michigan CB Xavier Crawford with the No. 195 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Crawford played nickel and outside cornerback at Oregon State before transferring to Central Michigan where he was the team’s starter opposite eventual second-rounder Sean Bunting. Crawford had a team-best 13 passes defended. He competes but there are times he struggles with wideouts with size. Crawford will likely have to carve out a role on special teams.
