After trip to neurologist, Clowe on track for training camp
From The Record’s Tom Gulitti, with the latest on Ryane Clowe’s road back from another concussion:
Lou Lamoriello said Ryane Clowe is undergoing testing today. Said Clowe saw his neurologist in Boston and that went well.— Tom Gulitti (@TomGulittiNHL) September 16, 2014
Lamoriello said all results have been positive so far for Clowe and if that continues he will be on ice for first day of practice Friday.— Tom Gulitti (@TomGulittiNHL) September 16, 2014
Clowe said recently that he “felt pretty good,” but that he had to “get cleared to play, and I’ve got to see the doctor again before the season starts.”
The Devils signed Clowe to a five-year, $24.25 million deal last summer. The 31-year-old power forward appeared in just 43 games in his first season with New Jersey, scoring seven times with 19 assists.
