Like many other teams headed toward the playoffs, the Anaheim Ducks approach the final stretch with some injuries to consider.
The team provided updates regarding two players on Saturday, as they revealed that backup goalie Frederik Andersen is day-to-day with his upper-body issue while Tim Jackman will undergo surgery on a broken hand.
Andersen is reportedly feeling better while Jackman’s window of recovery hasn’t been determined just yet.
Andersen, 24, has had a fantastic rookie season with the Ducks, going 19-5-0 with a .924 save percentage and 2.27 GAA. Jackman, 32, collected 103 penalty minutes in just 36 games played.
The Ducks’ next game comes against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.
