Glencross ‘got a little choked up’ at Stajan’s goal celebration

Matt Stajan’s penalty shot goal against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night produced one of the more emotionally touching moments of the season.

After beating Viktor Fasth with a backhand, Stajan pointed to the sky to celebrate his goal -- a gesture to pay tribute to his son who died recently. Following the game, Flames forward Curtis Glencross talked about what that moment was like for the team.

Safe to say Glencross wasn’t the only person getting choked up watching that happen. It’s been an emotionally trying time for Stajan and his wife, but seeing him point to the sky last night was powerful.
