Bruins leading scorer Jarome Iginla will miss his first game of the year and first to injury in seven years tonight against Detroit with a lower-body ailment.
Iginla, 36, was a late scratch announced just prior to puck drop. He leads the B’s in goals this year, with 30, and is second on the team with 61 points. He recently became just the 19th player in NHL history to score 30 goals or more at the age of 36-plus, and tied Guy LaFleur for 24th all-time on the NHL goals leaderboard, with 560.
