No disciplinary hearing for Leafs’ Brown after hitting Gorges from behind

Maple Leafs forward Mike Brown won’t face any disciplinary hearing for his hit on Montreal’s Josh Gorges on Wednesday night, according to RDS’ Renaud Lavoie.

Here’s the hit in question, which earned Brown a five minute checking from behind major and game misconduct:

Of note, Brown has been suspended before -- in 2011, he was dinged three games for an elbow to the head of then-Phoenix defenseman Ed Jovanovski.
