Perry scores a hat trick, Ducks win eighth in a row

Corey Perry tallied four points, three goals and an assist, in the 4-2 over the Kings. The two rivals managed to remain tied at two into the third, but once Perry scored his third there was no recovering by the Kings.

The Anaheim Ducks are on a roll.

The second place team in the Pacific Division extended their winning streak to eight games by defeating the division’s top team, the Los Angeles Kings, by a score of 4-2.

Anaheim got three goals from sniper Corey Perry while David Perron added the insurance marker in the third period.

Perry opened the scoring at the 16:48 mark of the first period (to watch it, click here).

He tied the game at two with just over two minutes remaining in the second frame (to watch it, click here).

And here’s the game-winner:

The Ducks trail the Kings by just two points in the Pacific Division standings. Anaheim has a game in hand.

The loss snaps Los Angeles’ four-game winning streak.

The Kings are in no danger of missing the playoffs, but their grasp on the division has evaporated.

Reinforcements are on the way, as they acquired forward Kris Versteeg from the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday night.
