The Bruins scored four times in the third period to defeat the Hurricanes 5-2 Thursday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final to take the series lead after trailing Carolina, 2-1 at the 2nd intermission. The win snapped Carolina’s six-game winning streak, and marks the fourth consecutive win for the Bruins. Marcus Johansson had a goal and an assist in the effort, while Patrice Bergeron, Charlie Coyle, Steven Kampfer, and Chris Wagner each scored for Boston.
